G'day and thanks for checking out my channel!
It's about easy D.I.Y projects that almost anyone can do with just simple tools and very limited experience.
Most of the time if we just break a project into smaller parts we can do much more than we initially think we can.
I also do some little general tips on things that you may not have thought of before.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy my videos.👍
Thanks again.
Cheers,
Mark.

The Secret of the Shoelaces that STAY DONE UP! ** EASY How To **
Переглядів 4133 роки тому
THave you had enough of shoelaces that gradually come undone over the course of your day? Of course you have and so had I! I suspected there must have been a better way, a way that avoided going down the road of 'knotless' laces (turning your shoes into slip-ons) or worse still, 1980's style velcro fasteners!! So, before I resigned myself to a life of double knots that sat about one cm high and...
How To Make Counter Top from Vinyl Floor! *Easy D.I.Y*
Переглядів 54 тис.3 роки тому
Every day I would walk past a small stand alone counter top that was a patch up job from someone who lived here previously. It was starting to annoy me so I decided to do something about it! As usual I wanted to use the materials that I had on hand and came up with the idea to re-surface my counter top with an off cut that I kept from when my vinyl floor was laid. Now, of course as it is vinyl ...
How To Remove Paint Stains From Clothes* FAST & EASY!
Переглядів 675 тис.4 роки тому
EASY DIY! Amazing result at the end!! Have you ever done some painting in clothes that you really shouldn't have been doing work in? I have...in fact I just did! So I thought I could keep my paint stained black hoodie either for working in or throw it away (either way a waste of money) - or I could try and get the dried paint stain out and just keep it, which is what I decided to do! Now, this ...
How To Paint Your Concrete Floor. Excellent Result. Save$$$
Переглядів 141 тис.5 років тому
In this video, I paint a nasty old stained, green concrete floor with a classy deep grey paving paint to finish off a simple but very stylish space. In the previous video (link below), I paint the old stained, brown wall bricks of the same space (small studio/ work area) with a lovely bright white colour, to take advantage of a very small but well lit room. Both these easy DIY jobs are inexpens...
How To Paint Your Brick Wall. Great Result! SAVE $$$.
Переглядів 105 тис.5 років тому
Please Like, Share, Comment, SUBSCRIBE* bit.ly/39oBzG5This little room at the back of my place is a hobby/studio/storage room and the brick walls were once the outside bricks before it was made into a room (as an after thought by a later owner). It has great light but the dark brown bricks and green floor just lowered the feel of the room. So, I decided to see what a couple of coats of fresh pa...
How To Replace Kitchen Taps. 'EzyFix'
Переглядів 22 тис.5 років тому
My kitchen taps were starting to stiffen up and not work smoothly so I decided to replace them. I went down to the local hardware store and spotted these lever action type taps and thought I'd give them a go. I was quite happy with how the first one went on that I filmed the second one to document the job. BTW, the lever style taps are very handy, especially if you have greasy hands or you are ...
How To Make Your Bench Vice PORTABLE! So USEFUL!
Переглядів 60 тис.7 років тому
Here's a great little Easy DIY project to make your Bench Vice portable so you can move it around the bench or workshop or take it off the bench when you don't need it to free up some space. Also, you can now use it inside the house for those jobs when you need an extra strong support, or even take it in the car when you go camping or to help a mate who doesn't have a vice! Cheers, Mark. 👍 THAN...
How To Repair a Small Hole In Your Door Frame.
Переглядів 37 тис.7 років тому
This video shows a very easy repair to a hole in an architrave/door frame left behind when I took out an unconnected light switch. My goal was simply to tidy up the architrave and leave a smooth finish. The area is not weight bearing so a simple cosmetic job was sufficient. I'm not a tradesman and it's surprising what can be done when you just have a go (within reason of course!). Also, I had a...
Hey Mark....is that alcohol "standard" or does it have anything added to it? You mention you get it from your "workers" around Australia. Can we find it here in U.S?
Hi Sandra, had to think there for a sec. what you meant by 'workers'! The actual brand name of the product is 'Diggers' (as opposed to Aussie / NZ slang for WW1 vets who dug the trenches) but it's just Isopropoyl Alcohol that is available at almost any hardware store, so Home Depot or similar would most probably stock it. The one we get here is 100% proof which is the one I used and the one to go for. Cheers and Good Luck! 👍😀
i have to try a sponge, a teeth brush and a alcohol to remove the paint stains for 10 times or 5 times?
Just grab an old toothbrush (or similar), a small bottle of Isopropyl Alcohol (from a hardware store). Spray the dried paint stain a few times with the Isopropyl Alcohol and gently rub the stain with the toothbrush and then wiping it with a sponge, repeating until the stain dissolves. Cheers and Good luck! 👍
Truly does work (I wasn't a believer at first)! Just tried it on paint stains to skirt part of a dress. Rubbed against a wall that was newly painted. This happened over 4 years ago.😮 I soaked the 3 spots with 91% rubbing alcohol isopropyl. Started with a toothbrush, then a dime coin (this really got the paint moving). I know😮, spoon would have been better to not damage/ruffle the threads. Nonetheless, with a little elbow grease, IT ALL CAME OUT!! So shocked and ever sooo grateful!!! Thank you. May your sharing and kindness be reciprocated. Sometimes I don't know that content creators know the blessing of help and assistance they give out to the world. It's a beautiful thing. Thanks, again!!!
Thanks for the kind words! Yes I agree, it's always great to find a solution to a problem on UA-cam. Glad your dress worked out so well. Cheers! 👍
Thanks 🙏🏾 this worked
Cheers, thanks for watching! 👍
This is too much work. Use the American style --> pour alcohol 🍸 on it as needed and brush it with a tooth brush and the paint will gone.
Thanks I've done the same thing
Yeah, annoying and easy to do! Thanks for watching!👍
Great presentation. I will look into Gorilla glue you used in response to other comments. I have 4 large pots. Only 2 have cracks, but one is broken into 5 pieces. Maybe I'll try to salvage it. Very impressive methods you've shown here, specifically using the "bungie cords" to hold pot together while curing. I would only suggest to viewers to try placing pieces together 1st before glueing as sometimes some pieces won't fit in after other pieces are in place. Also, I wonder if I can coat inside of pot with something before reuseing, such as morter or cement to protect mend from inside from moisture later? You present very intelligently. Thank you sir.
Thanks for watching and for your comments! The gorilla glued pot is still as strong as ever! I have grown lavender in it and it is doing well. Cheers!👍
Thanks for helping save my grandmother’s old clay pot!
Thanks for watching! Cheers! 👍
You could've just used Goo gone .
Thank you so much!
Thanks for watching! 👍
Worked like a charm…. Thanks
No worries, thanks for watching! 👍
I thought this was Bruce Willis
Bro what if it’s a grey color
The colour shouldn't make any difference to the method working. Cheers!👍
Omg for a second there I thought it was Bruce willis 🤣🤣
I did this and it made a hole in my tee shirt 😂
For real
That must have taken at least half a days labour, its only 5 minutes to find your old painting clothes but thanks anyway Bruce
Cheers!👍

Australian Bruce Willis!
Die Hard stains.
Thanks mark😌
Cheers Annette, thanks for watching! 👍
is working really really well... thank you.
You're welcome! Thanks for watching! 👍
I got paint stains on my school blazer. Do you think the stains will go away?
The paint stains should go away if they are water based and you rub on some Isopropyl Alcohol like in the video. Good luck!🙂👍
il try then
Nike was happy right up until 5:52
🤣nice.
What about paint on towels
No worries! As long as it's water based paint, it should work just fine! Cheers👍
What if you don’t have powder detergent
Just try giving the dried paint stain a gentle rub with a brush first. If it's thick you can bend/fold the stain and crack it a few times. Then do the Isopropyl Alcohol part and then wash it with your normal detergent afterwards and see how it goes. Cheers 👍
Does it have to be 70%??? I only have 90% isopropyl alcohol
70% at a minimum. 90% is best! Cheers! 👍
@MarkdoesDIY thank you so much! I have a $400 Northface coat with paint on it! Going to give this a try! Ty for responding!
Works like a charm!!! Tysm!!!
@@JCSun77 Well done! Yw!!👍
Thanks for the tips! You are charming 😊 not the brush you put in your mouth 😂 gotcha.
👍Cheers!
Well done! Thanks!
Cheers! 👍
Thanks for the inspiration, I didn't have any isopropyl like you suggested so I went with gasoline instead and that worked like a charm!
Nice! Just wait awhile before you light up a cigarette! 👍
@@MarkdoesDIY Haha will do! 🙏
Could have used a bigger brush😮
Work on year old dried automotive paint?
It works on water based paint. Age doesn't matter. Cheers👍
Will this work for gloss?
I've not tried it on gloss but if it's water based it should work. 👍
I’ve just finished painting my garage which was concrete block……..never again 😂
Love painting with the grandkids , this gets stains out EVERY TIME ! Thank you very much !!
Cheers! 👍
En español gracias
De nada, ¡gracias por mirar! 👍
That's fast and easy!!!! You're kidding right. Could have bought a new one quicker!
🤣
Australia’s Bruce Willis.
i am going to paint the showroom. i was determined to proceed with epoxy but afterwatching this video my mind changed.
Good luck! 👍
thanks bald head
Does this work on a white school shirt?
I haven't tried it on a white school shirt but if the paint is water based and you use Isopropyl Alcohol as per the video you could give it a go! Cheers 👍
Absolutely does not remove paint from clothes.i used the whole bottle, let it sit overnight. It did nothing.huge waste of money.
Are you sure that it was water based paint that you were trying to remove? As I mention in the video, this technique is for water based paint. Also, there is no need to soak, just gently scrub with a few squirts of Isopropyl Alcohol a few times. As you can see by the hundreds of other comments, it works. Cheers. 👍
Bruce Willis??? Thank u😊👍
🙂👍
6:22 I do a lot painting 🖼 and I'm always getting paint on my clothes 🙃 thanks for your tip 🙂
Cheers! 👍
I was trying to get paint out of my pants before a interview tomorrow, I don't have the right type of alcohol and it's an old stain at this point but it did get a little bit out of it, so it should be less noticeable if I use that pair thanks for the tip!
No worries, good luck at the interview! If you get a chance to get the real Isopropyl Alcohol it should make a difference. Cheers! 👍
@@MarkdoesDIY Thank you very much, and will do!
Thank you so much my friend! I had this same scenario happen but my daughter also was helping. Saved 2 favorite sweaters! 👍
Well done saving 2 sweaters! 👍
Does it work with glow in the dark paint ?
i haven't tried it myself on 'glow in the dark' paint but if it's water based it should be good. Let me know how you go! Cheers! 👍
got paint on nt nirthface jacket , hope it works
Good luck! 👍
At first i thought is that Bruce Willis ??
I thought Bruce Willis retired!
